Julie Campbell was raised in the suburbs of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. She earned her Bilingual Bachelor of Arts Degree from York University, with a major in Canadian Studies. Her primary focus throughout her studies was Sociology, Writing, and History. Ms. Campbell started writing creatively as soon as she was capable of printing. Though she had often considered a more financially stable career in teaching, deep down she always knew that writing was her calling. She began with the publication of a few poems in 1997, but soon sought a more consistent form of writing, beginning a freelance career. Freelancing, Julie soon discovered, meant the creation of a countless number of books, newsletters, ads, marketing scripts, whitepapers, website content, letters and any other imaginable format that needed writing content. As Ms Campbell continued with freelancing, she decided that she was obtaining a very proficient view of the writing and publishing industry. The primary thing she noted was its inaccessibility to the newcomer, no matter how talented he or she may be. So, based on that idea, she created JBC Online E-Publishing. Her dream was to make JBC Online E-Publishing a place where writers, any writers, could find a place in which to enter the published world - as long as they had talent and a well written manuscript. She kept in consideration that a manuscript often takes a large amount of time for a writer to produce and therefore permitted, within the JBC Online E-publishing contract, that writers may also submit their manuscripts to other publishers so that they may see their books in print! Julie currently lives in Toronto and continues her freelance writing alongside intense participation in JBC Online E-Publishing. She also maintains her creative writing, exercising it on a daily basis; concentrating less on poetry now, and more on the little recognized Fantasy genre. |
